How To Use the Portfolio Tracker

Introduction
To use the RipMoar portfolio tracker, you first need to have cards added to your account. This happens automatically when you scan cards using the RipMoar scanner. Once a card is scanned, it is saved and stored inside your portfolio. If you already have cards scanned, they will appear in your portfolio immediately after logging in.
After logging in, go to the portfolio section from your main dashboard. This is where your entire collection is displayed. Each card you’ve scanned will appear in a structured layout, showing basic information such as the card name, set, and other relevant details. The portfolio is updated automatically, so anything you scan or add will show up here without needing to refresh or manually sync.
Once inside the portfolio, you can start organizing your collection. One of the main tools available is filtering. Filters allow you to sort your collection based on different categories such as game type, set, or rarity. For example, if you only want to view Pokémon cards, you can filter your collection to show only those. If you are working on completing a specific set, you can filter by that set to see which cards you already own and which ones are missing.
You can also use the search function inside the portfolio to quickly find a specific card. Instead of scrolling through your entire collection, you can type the name of the card or set, and it will appear instantly if it exists in your collection. This is useful for larger collections where manual searching would take too long.
The portfolio also shows the total number of cards you own. This helps you keep track of how large your collection is overall. As you add more cards through scanning, this number updates automatically. You do not need to enter anything manually for this to change.
Each card entry in your portfolio can be clicked to view more details. This includes any stored information about the card, such as its set, variant, or other identifiers. If needed, you can edit or adjust certain details depending on how the card was added. This is useful if a card was scanned incorrectly or assigned to the wrong category.
You can also organize your collection using custom groupings or folders. This allows you to separate cards into different sections based on your own preferences. For example, you might group cards by game, by set, or by personal categories like “trade,” “keep,” or “graded.” These groupings help keep your collection structured as it grows.
As new cards are scanned, they are automatically added to the correct portfolio view. There is no need to manually place them unless you want to adjust their grouping. This keeps the process simple when adding large numbers of cards at once.
The portfolio tracker also updates in real time. If you scan a card or make changes, those updates will appear immediately in your collection view. This ensures that what you see in your portfolio always reflects your current collection without delays.
If you are managing a large collection, it can be useful to periodically use filters and search tools together. For example, you can filter by a specific game and then search for missing cards within that filtered view. This helps when tracking progress toward completing sets.
Overall, the portfolio tracker is designed to display and organize all scanned cards in one place. It automatically updates as new cards are added and provides tools like filtering, searching, and grouping to help manage collections of any size.
